Growing up immersed in gymnastics and dance, I’ve always been intrigued with the human body. I first began studying bodywork in 2016 after completing one year of musical theatre performance at college. The yoga warm-up we did before class really lit me up and made me more attentive to how my body moved. This amplified my fascination with the connections between how the body looks, feels and performs. So, I enrolled in my first yoga teacher training and obtained my Thai Massage Level 3 by early 2017. The tools I developed opened my eyes to the connection between mind and body. It wasn’t long after becoming a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200) that I found myself in New York attending a second training with Baptiste Power Yoga. Looking to delve deeper into the mind-body connection, in 2018 I obtained my Natural Holistic License majoring in Aromatherapy and Reflexology. Now, a student working towards becoming a Registered Massage Therapist by 2020, I wish to share what I have learned by integrating the teachings of eastern medicine into western culture. I believe studying the body as a whole is the only way to find balance and source out the core issues that cause discomfort or dis-ease.
